Nelda Almaguer
Nelda Marcela Almaguer Vargas was born and raised in the city of Monterrey in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She showed a passion for film and art since a very young age which led her to study a bachelor’s degree in Animation and Digital Arts at the Tecnológico de Monterrrey.
During university she made short films and was the director and organizer of LAD Week; one of the larger events in Animation, Film, and Arts in the city of Monterrey.
She went on to win one of the only full tuition scholarships from the Vancouver Film School for a one-year program in Film Studies where she specialized in Directing and Cinematography. While in school, she went on to write and direct one of the first all-Spanish dialogue films at VFS titled Hermanas.
Producer
Cory Rokes
Hailing from Michigan in the United States, Cory's back ground is in business management and marketing. While living in Washington D.C. in 2015; he joined the ska-punk band, Thirteen Towers, as the trumpet player. During this time he created and directed video content for the band and it was there he found his passion for film making.
In 2019 he moved to Vancouver B.C. to study at the Vancouver Film School, specializing in Directing and Producing. His goal was to find a way to dive head-first into the film industry and begin a career.
While in school he produced a host of short films including Hermanas.
He hopes to start a career producing feature films, television series, and OTT/Video-on-Demand content. He also hopes to break into directing more.


Director of Photography
Yupeng [Andrew] Hou
Andrew Hou is a 21 year-old boy from China, Beijing. He is a recent alumnus of the Vancouver Film School (VFS), having majored in Film Production and studied mostly the two specializations to become a Director and a Director of Photography (Cinematographer). As a personal hobby, Andrew also does some portrait photography, making good use of single lamps and creative photographs. He likes to create interesting scenes, and then utilize creative retouching in post.
Becoming a film director has been his dream since childhood, but it is very difficult to succeed, and he continues working hard for this dream. While sticking too said dreams, Andrew considers his position in life and has set up a small photography studio to work towards his goals. He believes that this is a good start, and hopes this approach can help stay in the film and television industry.
A good director or a good director of photography requires a rich life
experience, which Andrew has always believed in. Andrew plans to continue working hard, maintain a good attitude in life, and in doing so; he knows he will realize his dreams.
Production Designer
Carol Dantas
Carol is a 20 year old Brazilian professional actress. She's specialized in movies and productions such as the pilot episode of Singularity, some of St. Jude Filmes as Say it or (The Words of a Little Girl) and Neon Killer. Also more recently the short movie: RePlay.
Currently Carol is a Film Production student at the Vancouver Film School, specializing in the fields of Production Design and Cinematography.
Now, back in Brazil she aspires to continue working in the industry
as Actress but also enter the Art Department working mainly on feature films and TV series.
Editor
Marvin John Amin
Marvin is an aspiring filmmaker from the Philippines, who wants to be a Story Editor for Feature and Indie films, TV, and Web Series.
When he first watched Sam Raimi's Spider-Man in 2002, he was curious to learn how the movie was filmed and edited which led him to learn more about the Post Production process. He started recording his travels and vacation trips with his family and creating short videos. From there; his passion for film making grew.
Currently, Marvin is a Film Production Student at Vancouver Film School, specializing in Post Production and Cinematography.



1st Assistant Director
Abril Arnauda Appel
Abril is a Mexican filmmaker born on 28 March,1995 in Mexico City to a single mother family. Since a child she has always been interested in the performing arts.
She earned her degree from Tec de Monterrey (Mexico) in Communications and Digital Media. She has a double honor diploma and was awarded for Most Outstanding Student. She has also studied abroad in France, Florida, New York, Belgium and Vancouver.
Abril has directed and produced musical videos and has worked as director, script writer, and editor of corporate videos for Canaintex, Co-Mana and CEDAC. Currently she attends Vancouver Film School studying Directing and Producing. She loves horror and psychological thrillers in films and novels.
Aside from film, her passion is dancing and reading.
